Exporting a high-resolution aerial view of your site orthomap, showing any DXF file layer you’ve uploaded into Propeller (like linework, design surfaces, or utilities) is a quick and easy process that anyone can complete—no training required!

1. Select the dataset that you want to export a map of

Head to the top of your screen and click on the date to select the dataset that you’d like to view. Please note, whatever dataset is selected here will be used to generate the PDF Map Export.

2. Select the DXF layer you want to view on your map

To apply the linework, a design surface, or points of interest you have already have uploaded into Propeller head to the Design tab in the left-hand side of your screen.

Tick the checkbox next to the layer you would like to apply to the map. Select as many as you want.

Please note: We currently only support the export of your base orthophoto and DXF layers, (we do not currently support the exported overlay of TINs and 3D faces).

3. Export your map

The Export PDF Map button is located at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. Once you’ve finished adding the DXF layers you want to overlay, simply hit the button. A PDF file will automatically download to your computer.

This map will be generated in high-resolution, at a quality that is ready to print in large format (34"-44" / A0 paper size).

Looking to export a zoomed in section of your site?

If you're looking to create a map of something specific on site such as an area with utilities or a safety hazard then simply zoom in to the level of detail you want to export and hit the Export Map button. What you see on your screen is what will be exported.
