What Satellite Constellations do AeroPoints Use?
AeroPoints use GPS and GLONASS satellite constellations to collect positioning data. AeroPoints collect location data every 10 seconds with a single-band GPS chip. The data is stored on the AeroPoint until it connects to WiFi and uploads to Propeller.
Currently, AeroPoints do not use any other satellite constellations, such as
- Galileo (EU)
- QZSS (Japan)
- BeiDou (China)
- Satellite-Based Augmentation Systems (SBAS)
