DirtMates collect the location and elevation data of vehicle tracks and wheels. This information updates the DirtMate surface that is based on the most recent drone survey. During data collection, the offset between the DirtMate and the tracks or wheels is considered. A Setup Wizard in the DirtMate app will guide you through the procedure to determine the offset upon the placement of the DirtMate on your machine.
DirtMate achieves survey-grade accuracy similar to AeroPoints or a survey rover through a high accuracy GPS receiver. As with AeroPoints, the more satellites that can be detected, the faster the machine position can be displayed. In order to increase global coverage, the DirtMate uses GPS, GLONASS, and GALILEO satellite constellations.
