AI Progress Tracking is a powerful feature in Propeller that provides automated cut-and-fill analysis across your entire site. Users can instantly generate a cut-and-fill heatmap with smart polygons outlining affected areas by clicking the button in the measurement toolbar. Each polygon displays cut, fill, and net (C/F/N) quantities, with dynamic labels that adjust based on zoom level—offering a clearer high-level view when zoomed out and more granular insights when zoomed in. This feature enhances efficiency by automating progress tracking and improving data visualization for earthworks projects.
This can also be useful for DirtMate users dealing with constantly changing sites. By creating a seamless, one-click solution to instantly highlight areas of activity.
Adjust the AI Progress Tracking Settings to see the cut/fill volume changes. Select the From surface and To surface from the drop-down menus.
This will automatically display a color-coded heatmap representing areas of cut and fill for the whole site.
To refine the map, select the options from the Settings button.
Modifying AI Progress Tracking Settings
You can customize AI Progress Tracking to better suit your project needs by modifying its appearance and boundaries.
Changing Labels and Outlines
- Toggle labels on or off to adjust the display of C/F/N quantities.
- Add or remove outlines around smart polygons for clearer visualization.
Adjusting the Heatmap and Boundaries
- Modify the heatmap appearance by selecting an existing polygon measurement.
- Create your own custom boundary to refine the analysis area.
- Configure deadband used in calculations.
AI Progress Tracking streamlines site analysis with time-saving automation, eliminating the need for manual polygon creation. It enhances accuracy by providing instant, data-driven insights into site progress, ensuring more precise decision-making. The feature also improves visualization through smart labels and heatmaps, making it easier to interpret changes at a glance. Additionally, its scalability allows it to function seamlessly across large sites, dynamically adjusting detail levels based on zoom for optimal clarity.
