Your DirtMate's settings are organized into three sub-pages on its details page: Network, Power, and GNSS. Each sub-page groups related settings to make configuration faster and easier to navigate, on both desktop and mobile.
This article provides an overview of each sub-page and links to detailed guides for each configuration area.
Network settings
The Network sub-page shows your DirtMate's network status and configured Wi-Fi. From here you can update mobile network settings, access point settings, and external network credentials.
Mobile network settings
If your deployment requires a mobile network setup different from the default Propeller data plan, follow these instructions to modify your DirtMate's mobile network settings. This process includes inserting a new SIM card and configuring the appropriate APN to establish a cellular connection. Read more >
Access point settings
DirtMate can function as an access point, enabling Network Sharing — similar to a mobile hotspot. When this feature is enabled, the Base DirtMate broadcasts a Wi-Fi network that other DirtMates can connect to. DirtMates configured as access points can only access the internet via LTE or an Ethernet connection and cannot operate as Wi-Fi clients simultaneously. Read more >
External network settings
External networks refer to job-site Wi-Fi networks such as Starlink, Rajant, mobile hotspots, or existing office networks. DirtMates can be configured to connect to these networks by entering the necessary credentials in the DirtMate Management App. Read more >
Power settings
The Power sub-page shows battery level, power source, temperature, and sleep/upload settings for your DirtMate.
Sleep and upload schedule
The sleep and upload schedule ensures DirtMates capture data at the correct times by defining specific wake and sleep windows. By setting power-on and power-off times, you can control when the device is active. Read more >
GNSS settings
The GNSS sub-page shows RTK configuration and GNSS quality and satellite status for your DirtMate. Read more >
