Activate or Renew the DJI Care Enterprise Basic Warranty for Your DJI Drone

DJI Care Enterprise offers robust protection plans to keep your valuable drone assets in the air and minimize downtime due to accidental damage. Available in select regions, these plans provide replacements or repairs for damaged hardware, ensuring operational continuity.

This guide provides a comprehensive overview of activating DJI Care Enterprise. Please review the key tips below before finding your specific drone model for detailed instructions.

Key activation tips

  • Act Fast: You have a limited time to activate your plan after the first use. For the Matrice 300/350, you have 72 hours. For the Mavic 3 Enterprise, Matrice 4 Enterprise, and Phantom 4 RTK, the window is 48 hours.
  • Have Your Code Ready: You will need a DJI Care activation code. If you don't have one, contact Propeller Support or your Customer Success representative.
  • Use the Correct DJI Account: The Care plan binds to the DJI account used during activation. This is especially important for plans for the Matrice 4 Enterprise, which activate automatically upon signing in.
  • Know Your Serial Number: You will be asked to enter the aircraft's serial number, which can be found either on the drone's body or its carrying case. Please see the image examples below for reference.
  • Missed the Window? If your activation window has lapsed, you must contact DJI Support directly to complete a remote video verification process.

Mavic 3 Enterprise

The DJI Care Enterprise Basic plan provides one year of protection for the Mavic 3 Enterprise (M3E). DJI Care will mail you a replacement if your drone's hardware is damaged. Your deductible is $299 for the first replacement and $399 for the second.

Activation instructions:

It is crucial to complete the activation process within 48 hours of logging into your DJI account on the drone's controller for the first time.

  1. Navigate to the DJI Care website and enter your DJI Care Enterprise Basic activation code.
  2. You will then be prompted to enter your drone's serial number. The 20-character serial number for a Mavic 3 Enterprise is located on the drone case or in the battery compartment and will look similar to this: 1581F5FHX11X00000XXX.

Activation instructions:

The activation for the Matrice 4 Enterprise is streamlined and occurs during the initial setup of the drone.

  1. Sign in to Your DJI Account: When you power on your drone for the first time, you will be prompted to sign in.
Your DJI account will be linked to your DJI Care Enterprise Plus plan, so ensure you are using the correct account.

If you choose to skip the activation page, or if the page doesn’t pop up due to server or network issues, the DJI Care Enterprise plan will automatically bind to the DJI account you signed in with. If the plan was bound to the wrong DJI account, you can contact DJI directly to provide the correct details.

Troubleshooting a lapsed activation window

If you try to activate your DJI Care Enterprise Basic plan after the initial 48-hour or 72-hour window has passed, you will likely receive an error on the DJI website stating, "your product can no longer be bound to this service."

To resolve this, you must complete a remote video verification to prove the drone is in good working order.

  1. Email DJI Support: Send an email to support@dji.com with the subject line Remote Video Verification Request for DJI Care Enterprise Basic Activation.
  2. Write the Email Body: In the email, state that you need help activating your DJI Care due to the error message and specify which drone you have.

For example: "I am requesting assistance activating my DJI Care. The DJI Care website gives me an error saying, 'your product can no longer be bound to this service.' I would like to activate the Care Enterprise Basic plan for my [insert your drone model, e.g., Mavic 3 Enterprise, Matrice 300/350, or Phantom 4 RTK] using the remote video verification procedure. Please let me know the best way to complete that process."

  3. Follow DJI's Instructions: DJI Support will respond with instructions on how to create a video demonstrating that the drone is in working order. Follow their instructions as closely as possible.
  4. Activate After Approval: Send your completed video to DJI Support. Once they email you to approve the request, you can follow the standard activation instructions for your drone model to officially connect the service plan.

Troubleshooting Common Errors

Here are some common error messages you might encounter during the renewal or activation process and their resolutions:

"The code is not working."

  • Likely Explanation: The DJI Care Enterprise Basic code or aircraft serial number was incorrectly entered.
  • Steps to Resolve:
    • Copy and paste the entire DJI Care code directly from your email to avoid transcription errors.
    • Re-enter the aircraft's serial number, ensuring it is the correct length (14 or 20 characters as specified for your drone model). Double-check that there are no spaces and no letter 'O's (only the number '0').

"A DJI Care Refresh purchase history was not found for your product."

  • Likely Explanation: The original DJI Care protection plan was never activated for this specific product, or there's a discrepancy in the records.
  • Steps to Resolve: Contact Propeller Support or DJI Support for assistance. Provide them with your purchase details and the drone's serial number.

"There is a data error. Please contact DJI Support."

  • Likely Explanation: The coverage has expired, and the unit is beyond the standard renewal time frame. You must renew before your basic coverage expires. DJI typically has a grace period for renewal (e.g., within 15 days of expiration), but once this window passes, direct renewal might not be possible.
  • Steps to Resolve: Contact Propeller Support or DJI Support immediately for assistance. They may be able to advise on alternative options or provide a solution.
