Crew allows office teams to share interactive maps via a link with other teams. Each map generates a unique URL that can be shared with anyone and viewed on any device.
How to create a Crew link
In the platform
To get started, select any combination of files in the MEASURE and/or DESIGNS tab that you want to share with your site-based teams.
DXF layers, PDF Overlay layers, and volume measurements are currently supported for Crew.
Line and point measurements are not supported.
After you select the information you want to share, tap on the CREW tab followed by CREATE CREW LINK.
Sharing the link
Once a Crew link is created, it will appear on the left-hand panel. To share, click the three-dot menu and choose Share.
Click the COPY TO CLIPBOARD to copy the link that can be pasted in a browser, SMS, email, or another communication platform. The link will automatically be set to expire in 14 days.
If you accidentally closed the map window in your browser or want to share the link later, you can still access the shareable link by clicking on the three dots next to the Crew link you created in the ACTIVE LINKS section of the Crew tab.
Link expiration
Crew links automatically expire after 14 days. However, you can change the expiry to any date.
To change the expiration date, click on the three dots next to the Crew link you want to extend or edit and choose Change expiry.
Several options are available to extend an expiration date on a Crew link, including customizing an expiry date.
Which Crew links have been generated?
Each link generated through the portal, even expired, is recorded. Under ACTIVE and EXPIRED LINKS, you can view every link created.
To reactivate an expired link, click on the three dots next to it and choose RENEW. The Change expiry option offers several options, including a custom date.
