Keeping your Propeller homepage organized ensures you and your team can find the right data quickly. This guide covers how to search for sites, prioritize your favorites, and use groups to stay organized.
Finding your sites quickly
When you're in the field, you need to find a specific site fast. Use these tools at the top of your homepage:
Search bar: Type the site name to filter your list instantly.
Sort by: Use the dropdown menu to organize sites by Last modified, Recent survey, or Date created.
Map view: Toggle the View by tool to switch from the grid view (
) to a map(
). This is helpful if you manage multiple sites across a large geographic area.
Using favorites for instant access
For the projects you visit every day, use the "Star" feature to keep them at the top of your page.
How to star a site: Click the Star icon on any site tile.
The benefit: Starred sites always appear in the Favorites section at the very top of your homepage, saving you from scrolling.
Organizing sites with groups
Groups act like folders, allowing you to bundle related sites together (for example, by region or project type). You can even nest groups up to three levels deep.
Create a group
Check the boxes on the site tiles you want to group.
Click Group at the top of the screen.
Enter a name (up to 100 characters) and click Create new group.
| 💡 Tip: You can also create an empty group by clicking + Create new > Site group. |
- The new group can be found under Your sites on the homepage.
Move sites between groups
To move into a group: Select the site(s), click Move to, and choose the destination group.
To move back to the homepage: Open the group, select the site, click Move to, and select your main Portal level.
Managing site status and visibility
As projects wrap up, you can clean up your homepage without losing any data.
Make a site inactive: Click the three dots (
) on a site tile and select Make site "inactive." This hides it from your main view.
Filter your view: Use the homepage filter to toggle between Active, Inactive, or All sites.
Ungroup sites: If you no longer need a folder, click the three dots (
) next to the group name and select Ungroup. Your sites will move back to the main homepage, and the empty folder will be deleted.
