How to Activate AeroPoints


When you receive your new AeroPoints, you must activate them before you begin using them. 
If you are activating AeroPoints you received as a warranty replacement, they should already have been activated and added to your group. If they are not there, please contact Propeller support.

1. Go to the AeroPoints activation page

If you already have an account, you can start from your AeroPoints dashboard to begin the activation process instead.

Activate a pack of 5 AeroPoints 

If you have a pack of 5 AeroPoints, an activation code will be included in the box. Enter the eight-digit activation code from the sheet of paper with your AeroPoints. If you have lost your AeroPoint activation code, please reach out to our support team for a new activation code. 

Select Activate a pack of 5 AeroPoints.

Enter the activation code and click +ADD

Add the next activation code if you have more than one set of 5 AeroPoints.

Next, you'll be asked to verify the AeroPoints you are adding. Once verified, click NEXT STEP.

If you already have an account, choose Sign in with an existing account. Otherwise, choose Create a new account and follow the prompts to continue.

3. Select the portal to which you would like to assign your new AeroPoints, and then choose the AeroPoint group. Then click NEXT.

Activate individual AeroPoints

To activate a single AeroPoint, you will use the AeroPoint's 8-digit serial number. This can be found on the AeroPoint solar panel or AeroPoint box. Select Activate individual AeroPoints, add the serial number, and click +ADD.

Once verified, click NEXT STEP.

Choose Sign in with an existing account if you already have an account. Otherwise, choose Create a new account and follow the prompts to continue.

3. Select the portal to which you would like to assign your new AeroPoints, and then choose the AeroPoint group. Then click NEXT.

After the AeroPoints are activated, you will be redirected to your AeroPoints dashboard. There, you should see your newly activated AeroPoints, along with information on their battery level and connection history.

AeroPoints for Propeller PPK

If you are using the Propeller PPK Drone Solution, use the process above to activate the AeroPoint(s) included with your drone. The activation code can only be used with the AeroPoint(s) included with your drone package. 

If you purchased additional AeroPoints with the PPK Solution, you must merge them into one set. You must contact Propeller support to merge the single AeroPoint with the additional set.

Now that you have activated your AeroPoints, you can start collecting and processing data. Our help center provides more information about the various processing methods, troubleshooting, and more.  

Although optional, the best practice is using AeroPoint 2s with the AeroPoint App. You can download the AeroPoint App for Android or iOS in the app store.
