How to Verify or Update a Coordinate Reference System On Your Site

Verifying a Coordinate Reference System (CRS) on an existing site

If you want to verify what CRS you used to set up a site, navigate to the home screen in the Platform and select the site you wish to review. Tap the three dots on the bottom right of the site preview and choose Settings.

Click on Coordinate System to view details about the CRS used when processing your data.

Depending on the CRS used, you may see information about a Published Coordinate System or a Local Calibration.

Updating or changing a coordinate reference system on your site

We realize that occasionally, a coordinate reference system needs to be changed on an existing site. You will need edit access credentials to the site whose CRS you wish to update.
Please note if you want to change a site set up in a local coordinate system using a .gc3 or .jxl, you will be required to create a new site and upload your data again. This will count towards your credit pack.
Navigate to your home page and select the site you wish to update. Click the three dots on the bottom right of the site preview and choose Settings.

Once the Settings page has loaded, click Coordinate System.

Choose the published CRS, vertical datum, and measurement unit you would like instead.

You will be required to acknowledge that if you change the CRS, this will affect any measurements between datasets in two different CRSs leading to inaccurate numbers.
