How do I charge my AeroPoint 1s?
Leave the AeroPoint outside in the sun while it is turned off to charge it.
Why should I charge my AeroPoint 1s?
Your AeroPoints need to be proactively charged while not in use to maintain the performance and overall lifetime of the product. Otherwise, the AeroPoint battery may go flat, and it is often difficult to recharge it via solar once it goes that low.
How often should I charge my AeroPoint 1s?
This depends on how often you use your AeroPoints, but here are some guidelines to follow:
- Check your AeroPoints dashboard before you fly to see the approximate battery percentage. If the battery icon is yellow and half-full (below 50% battery) or red (25% battery or less), you should charge those AeroPoints before going out on site.
AeroPoint Tips
- Charge the AeroPoints the day before an important survey and charge them again the day after you upload their data.
Short term storage
- If you have stored your AeroPoints for more than a week, charge them for a day before using them again to recharge the battery.
Long term storage
- If you store them over your off-season, you must charge the AeroPoints at least once every 30 days.
