The AeroPoint 2 has two indicator lights that show its current operating mode, so you can confirm it's logging, uploading, or charging correctly.
Indicator lights
The AeroPoint 2 has two indicator lights on the device:
- Logging light: shows GPS survey behavior - whether the AeroPoint is actively logging satellite data.
- Network light: shows network and upload behavior - whether the AeroPoint is searching for Wi-Fi, connected, or uploading data.
The AeroPoint has printed instructions describing how these lights react based on the AeroPoint’s mode. The Propeller mobile app will also display the current operating mode.
AeroPoint modes
| Mode | Logging light | Network light | Sample video |
|---|---|---|---|
| Logging data | Solid on | Off |

| Searching for a Wi-Fi network | Off | Blinking |

Charge Status
To check your AeroPoint's charging status:
- Plug the AeroPoint into a power source.
- Collect a short test capture (under 1 minute).
- Upload the capture.
After a successful upload, the Logging and Network lights show the charge status:
| Charge status | Logging light | Network light | Sample video |
|---|---|---|---|
| Currently charging | Blinking | Blinking | |
| Fully charged | Solid on | Solid on | ![]() |
