How to Resume Uploading a Dataset

Even if you use the recommended Google Chrome, a web browser is not 100% reliable for conducting long-lived transactions such as uploading large amounts of data. Occasionally, something can go wrong.

Or, you may have accidentally closed your browser window while uploading a dataset. Whatever the case, it is possible to resume a dataset upload from where it left off. This is possible if your dataset meets the following criteria:

  • You clicked the Submit button, but the upload was not completed.
  • The upload was started within the last 24 hours.
  • The dataset type is Survey or Pre-processed data.

If a dataset ticks these boxes, an option to resume the most recent interrupted upload will be shown in the first step of the Create new dataset flow. Click the dataset to continue.

This will not consume additional dataset credits—credits are only charged once a dataset has finished uploading.

A word of caution: do not choose this option if the dataset in question is uploading in another tab or on another computer where you are logged in.

Survey

Add the entire survey from your original submission again. We will only upload the missing ones. Once complete, hit the RESUME UPLOAD BUTTON

Pre-Processed data

Just like resuming a survey upload that was interrupted, you can also resume a pre-processed data upload. The most recent interrupted upload will be shown in the first step of the Create new dataset flow. Click the dataset to continue.

Add the entire pre-processed data from your original submission again. We will only upload the missing ones. Once complete, hit the RESUME UPLOAD BUTTON.

You'll see the data upload progress bar again.
