How Do I Save a Measurement?

How to create a measurement

Propeller has three different measurement types—points, lines, and polygons. Point measurements can be used to track elevation changes. Line measurements include grade checks and cross-sections. Polygons are most often used to measure volumes. These are just some possibilities for measuring your site in the Propeller Platform.

Select any Point, Line, or Polygon tool in the measurement toolbar at the top of your map.

Customize your measurement. Once you have made your measurement, you can customize it in several ways.

  • You can change the measurement name by clicking on it. Make sure to hit the SAVE button to retain the change.

  • You can change the measurement's color by clicking on the colored circle next to the measurement's name and selecting a color from the dropdown menu.
  • Users can add a description of the measurement in the Description text box at the bottom.

Click ADD/EDIT ITEMS.

Customize the measurement by clicking on the item on the right and dragging it to the left.
