This article guides you on how to view the locations of previously used Ground Control Points (GCPs) and Checkpoints directly within the Propeller mobile app. This feature supports your survey workflow by allowing you to easily locate existing control points in the field, helping to ensure data consistency for subsequent surveys.
How to View GCPs and Checkpoints in the Mobile App
To see the control points on your site map, you need to enable the Ground Control and Checkpoints survey layer.
Open the Propeller Mobile App and sign in to your account.
Navigate to the desired site that contains previously processed surveys with control points.
Tap the Layers icon located on the right hand side of the screen.
In the Layers menu, scroll down until you find the Ground Control and Checkpoints option. Toggle the switch to the ON position.
Once the layer is turned on, the location markers for all GCPs and Checkpoints from your processed surveys will appear on the map, visible from the field.
By enabling the Ground Control and Checkpoints layer, drone pilots and surveyors can quickly locate the established control points on a site, which is crucial for accurately placing AeroPoints or other control targets to ensure high-quality, consistent data across multiple surveys.
