How to Export a PDF Map of Your Site

Easily create and export high-resolution PDF maps of your site's orthomosaic, complete with any DXF file layers you have uploaded to Propeller, such as linework or utility data. This straightforward process allows you to quickly generate detailed maps for your projects.

Creating Your PDF Map

  1. Select Your Dataset: Choose the dataset you wish to export as a PDF map. The map will be generated from this selection.

  1. Add DXF Layers:
  • Navigate to the DESIGNS tab to access your uploaded linework or points of interest.
  • Activate the desired layers by clicking the corresponding eye icon. You can include multiple layers on your map.
  • Please Note: Currently, only the base orthophoto and DXF layers are supported for export. Overlays of TINs and 3D faces cannot be exported at this time.

  1. Export Your Map:
  • Click on the OUTPUTS tab.
  • From the MAPS category, select PDF Map.

  1. Finalize and Print:
  • Choose your desired Paper Size and orientation (Portrait or Landscape).
  • Click PREVIEW to review your map before finalizing.
  • Click PRINT. A new window will open, allowing you to select your printer, specify which pages to print, set the number of copies, and choose between color or grayscale printing.

Exporting a Specific Area

Need a map of a smaller, specific section of your site, such as an area with concentrated utilities or a potential safety hazard? Simply zoom in to the desired level of detail on your screen before following the export steps above. The map that is generated will reflect the exact view currently displayed on your screen.
