How to Export a PDF Map of Your Site

Exporting a high-resolution aerial view of your site orthomap, showing any DXF file layer you’ve uploaded into Propeller, such as linework or utilities, is a quick and easy process that anyone can complete—no training required!

1. Select the dataset that you want to export as a PDF Map

Click on the SURVEY date to select the dataset you want to view.

Whatever dataset is selected here will be used to generate the PDF Map Export.

2. Select the DXF layer to add it to the map

To apply the linework or points of interest you have already have uploaded into Propeller click on the DESIGNS tab on the left-hand side of your screen.

Tick the checkbox next to the layer you would like to apply to the map. Select as many as you want.

Please note: We currently only support the export of your base orthophoto and DXF layers, (we do not currently support the exported overlay of TINs and 3D faces).

3. Export your map

Click on the OUTPUTS tab and choose  PDF Map from the MAPS category.

This map will be generated in high-resolution, at a quality that is ready to print in large format (34"-44" / A0 paper size).

Do you need a zoomed-in section of your site?

If you need to create a map of something specific on-site, such as an area with utilities or a safety hazard, then simply zoom in to the level of detail you want to export and follow the steps mentioned above. What is currently displayed on your screen is what will be exported.
