Navigating the Propeller Platform

Whether you’re a new user or a seasoned pro, understanding how to navigate the platform is key to managing your worksite effectively. This guide covers the essentials of the user interface, from your initial site list to the specific toolsets you’ll use for analysis.

Once you have created a Propeller account, you can access your portal. Let’s start by familiarizing yourself with platform navigation and reviewing the tools you need to get started.

The home page

When you log in, you’ll see the home page. This is where you manage your different projects.

  • Create site: Click the + CREATE NEW button to create a site or site group.

  • Organize your sites: Use the Sort By dropdown, the Search bar to locate a specific site and/or use the Show dropdown to visualise active sites only.

  • Site view: The default view (site view) to see your sites, their geographic locations, and the last modified dates.

  • Map view: Select (map view icon) next to VIEW BY at the top right to see all site locations globally.

  • Open a site: Click on any site tile.

Global navigation sidebar

The sidebar on your portal allow you to jump between different parts of the Propeller ecosystem.

Side bar

  • ()Propeller Logo: Hover and click the (main menu) icon to expand the navigation menu.

  • Sites: Returns you to the home page.

  • AeroPoints: Access your AeroPoints dashboard.

  • Hardware: (If applicable) Navigate to your DirtMate workflow.

  • (Processing Icon.png) Processing: Check the status of uploaded datasets.

  • (Settings Icon.png) Settings: Manage your account, platform and organization preferences.

  • Profile: Manage your profile and notification preferences.

Site navigation & viewing data

Once a site is open, you can toggle between different dates and views without leaving the page.

  • Selecting Surveys: Use the Survey Picker at the top of the map to switch between different flight dates. By default, the most recent survey will open.

  • Switching Sites: Use the Site dropdown to jump to a different project.

  • Sharing: Click the SHARE button to invite users or generate a view-only link.

Propeller tools

💡 Tip: Before uploading data into Propeller. You can use our Base Map to view basic schematic drawings and designs to help you visualize the site prior to construction. It can also be used to plan works with no survey data.

The tabs on the left side of the screen contain the tools you’ll use to interact with your data.
