The Propeller Platform integrates various data types to create a comprehensive and interactive 3D model of your worksite. This article provides resources for uploading foundational survey data—from raw drone imagery requiring processing to pre-processed files like point clouds and TIN surfaces. It also covers how to overlay design files (such as DXFs or PDFs) to track progress and compare site conditions against your plan, as well as how to add media files to create a complete visual record. Use this guide to find the specific workflow needed for each type of data you manage.
Uploading survey data
Processing
After capturing your drone imagery, you are ready to upload it for processing. To begin, click the UPLOAD button in the top-right corner and choose the appropriate data type: Photogrammetry for images or Lidar for point clouds.
Please note that a Coordinate Reference System (CRS) must be configured for your site before you can proceed with the upload.
Once you have made your selection, the platform will launch a guided workflow to walk you through submitting your files. Propeller will then process this data to generate a high-quality and accurate 3D model of your worksite.
Photogrammetry:
- Uploading a PPK Survey with Your Compatible DJI Drones
- Uploading a PPK Survey From a WingtraOne Drone
- Uploading a PPK Survey with Quantum Trinity F90+ Drone
- Uploading a PPK Survey From an Anzu Raptor
- Uploading a PPK Survey From an Autel EVO II RTK
- Uploading a Standard Survey Dataset (Non-PPK)
Lidar
Pre-processed
To upload preprocessed data in Propeller, use the UPLOAD button and select your preprocessed files, and follow the prompts. Propeller then integrates your preprocessed data into your project, allowing you to compare, analyze, and visualize it alongside your other survey data.

Merging datasets & creating composites
The Composite Builder lets you upload and merge multiple smaller surveys into a comprehensive map.
Uploading media
Media
Uploading media to the Propeller platform is a simple way to enhance your project documentation. These files are geotagged (if location data is included) and linked to your project map, allowing for easy reference and context alongside your survey data. This feature helps create a comprehensive visual record for site analysis, communication, and reporting.

Connections
The Connections section allows you to link your Propeller account with other services, currently enabling you to pull design files directly from your Trimble Connect projects. This streamlines how you manage and import design data, eliminating the need for manual downloads and re-uploads.
