Uploading data in Propeller

Processing

After capturing your drone imagery, you are ready to upload it for processing. To begin, click the UPLOAD button in the top-right corner and choose the appropriate data type: Photogrammetry for images or Lidar for point clouds.

Please note that a Coordinate Reference System (CRS) must be configured for your site before you can proceed with the upload.

Once you have made your selection, the platform will launch a guided workflow to walk you through submitting your files. Propeller will then process this data to generate a high-quality and accurate 3D model of your worksite.

Media

Uploading media to the Propeller platform is a simple way to enhance your project documentation. These files are geotagged (if location data is included) and linked to your project map, allowing for easy reference and context alongside your survey data. This feature helps create a comprehensive visual record for site analysis, communication, and reporting.

Connections

The Connections section allows you to link your Propeller account with other services, currently enabling you to pull design files directly from your Trimble Connect projects and SharePoint & OneDrive folders. This streamlines how you manage and import design data, eliminating the need for manual downloads and re-uploads.
