How to Update the DJI FlySafe Database on DJI Pilot 2

DJI Pilot 2 is the flight software used by the DJI Matrice 300 RTK (M300), the Matrice 350 RTK (M350), and the Mavic 3 Enterprise (M3E).

As of March 28, 2023, the latest version of DJI Fly Safe database for the drone, and for the controller app is This database is updated regularly according to FAA standards, so it's helpful to check this often.

If you are not up to date, you may not be able to launch your drone for any missions you plan to fly in restricted airspace. Also, staying up to date with firmware and other drone software will ensure you get the best possible results from your data collection.

The drone needs to be updated through DJI Assistant on your computer. You can update the controller directly while it's connected to WiFi.

We recommend you complete these steps and verify that your old certificates are still synced with your aircraft and remote controller. You should always update and verify before you arrive on-site to fly.

1. From the home screen, tap Pilot.

2. Tap Enter Camera View

3. Tap the three dots in the upper right corner to open the settings menu.

4. Tap on the three dots at the bottom of the icons ribbon.

5. Scroll down to About

6. Scroll down to Precise Fly Safe Database (app) and tap Check for Updates.

7. If an update is available, follow the prompts to update.

8. Otherwise, the following message will appear: “Already Latest Version.”
