If you are not up to date, you may not be able to launch your drone for any missions you plan to fly in restricted airspace. Staying up to date with firmware and other drone software will also ensure that you get the best possible results from your data collection.
We recommend that you complete these steps and verify that your old certificates are still synced with your drone and remote controller. You should always update and verify before you arrive on-site to fly.
1. Power on your drone and remote controller (RC).
2. Ensure that your RC is connected to WiFi.
3. From the home screen of DJI Pilot 2, tap the Geo Zone Map button.
4. Tap the FlySafe Database button.
5. Tap the Check for Updates button.
6. If an update is available, follow the prompts to update.
7. When all databases are current, you’ll see an Already Latest Version message when checking for updates.
